“The Archives of Ontario is moving to a new facility in the spring of 2009 and before we move, we have a lot of prep work to do. One of the jobs we had to do was to go through approximately 8000 folders containing architectural drawings, documentary art, maps, posters, photographs and other items. Unlike your other customers who use your table for quilting and sewing, we were looking for a table that would help with looking at oversize paper documents in a small space. We needed something that was 36" high and portable and able to work anywhere we needed it (including fitting in an elevator). And that's what we have with your table!
Your table is the perfect addition to our collection of equipment to help with transporting and viewing records. It has been the biggest back saver and has easily accommodated our larger records. I have told other staff in the collection of our tables, in hoping that they can use them when they need a large workspace, which is more often than one would think, and they are equally as excited to use them.
I have included two photographs of the tables in their new home (see above). One photograph is with the table extended surrounded by a few of our map cabinets, and the other is of the closed table in between two ranges of records. It fits perfectly, even if we need a small workspace.
